JOY NUGGET: A Soft Heart

    I find it incredibly overwhelming whenever I stop and just start thinking about who God really is and how much He really does love us. The God who created the entire UNIVERSE takes the time to pay attention to us and everything that goes on in our lives. He lays out a very specific plan for our lives based on each one of our physical genetics and spiritual giftings.  He develops us and grows us all throughout our lives as He continually is trying to get our attention. The most amazing part is that He never forces us to recognize Him, to hear Him, to see Him, or to Love Him...the choice is ALWAYS ours. Even though His deepest desire is that we KNOW Him and Live for Him...He will continually risk our rejection because He is that in love with us. I know when I have hurt my Jesus and yet He has never made me feel unworthy of His love. THAT shakes me to my core. He deserves our love. He deserves our lives. We need to desperately fight against the things that are warring against us to try to take His place. God loves us, oh how He loves us...can we love Him back with the same passion? -darby
